Accessibility
Last updated 18 October 2026
Neyaba should work for every resident, whatever their device, screen size or way of using it.
Our target
Neyaba aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, on phones and computers.
What we checked
On 18 October 2026 we checked more than 60 pages, public and signed in, including the ER, on a phone and a computer screen:
- headings, names, labels and page landmarks;
- colour contrast of text and controls;
- tap targets of at least 44 pixels;
- using every page with a keyboard alone, and that sheets keep and return focus;
- zoom to 200% and a screen 320 pixels wide.
Nothing we found stopped a task. We fixed the problems we found. What we have not tested yet is below.
Known limitations
- We have not yet tested Neyaba with a screen reader speaking (VoiceOver, TalkBack or NVDA). Labels and roles are in place, but how they sound is not checked.
- Neyaba is in English. Arabic, read right to left, is coming and has not been tested.
