How to do the everyday things in Neyaba, a few steps each.
Today
- Open Today first: it lists what needs you now, then your day.
- Tap a row to open it. Requests, swaps, leave and cases to confirm can be done from there.
- The number on the Today tab is how many things need you.
- Tap + for something new: admit a patient, add a request, book a case or log a case.
Ward
- Tap a free bed, or Admit a patient, and add the bed, initials, age, sex and diagnosis. Never a full name.
- Open a patient to add a request (labs, imaging or a consult), pick who does it and when it is due.
- Use the chips (All, To do, Mine, For discharge, OR today) to see only what matters now.
- Handover opens the round sheet to print or share. ⋯ has Paste the census, Discharged patients and Rooms and beds.
OR lists
- Book a case puts a patient on the waitlist; the list hosts pick the date.
- Pick a day at the top to see its cases. Your own seat shows in wine.
- A host taps Plan this list to order the cases, set the team and check the ready list.
- Share the list on WhatsApp from ⋯ when it is ready.
ER
- Tap New patient: their name, age, a first diagnosis and a bed.
- Tap a patient to open their card: triage, vitals, orders, results and notes.
- Tap an order chip to move it on, and attach a photo of a result.
- Everything saves at once, and keeps working with no signal: changes send when you are back online.
Schedule and swaps
- When marking opens, tap Mark your days and choose the days you want or can’t do.
- Once the rota is published, Schedule shows your shifts and everyone’s.
- Can’t do a shift? Open it and offer it. A colleague taps Take it.
- Ask for leave from Leave in the Unit tab; you hear when it is decided.
Logbook
- Cases from your OR lists arrive the day after, under To confirm.
- Tap Done as planned, or Change… to fix the role or the consultant.
- Log a case adds one that wasn’t on a list.
- ⋯ has Export for the Fellowship and your goals.
Academic
- Academic lists the unit’s journal clubs, case presentations and seminars.
- Open a session to see who presents and when.
- Tap I was there to mark that you attended.
Unit
- Members: share the join link in your WhatsApp group; colleagues claim their name. Owners and chiefs set roles and rules there.
- Unit fund: see what you owe; the collector confirms payments and adds expenses.
- On call: the hospital’s numbers, A to Z. Tap one to call.
- Protocols: your unit’s and your own. Apply one to a patient to add its requests.
With no signal
- Turn on “Keep the ward on this device” in Settings.
- With no signal you see Today, the ward and patients as you last saw them, with the time.
- Changes can’t be saved until you reconnect, except in the ER, which sends them when you’re back.
- Signing out empties this device.
